TTC Service Advisory – Line 1 (Yonge–University)
Full weekend subway closure between St George and St Andrew stations
Effective:
11:00 p.m. Friday, January 23 to end of service Sunday, January 25, 2026
There will be no subway service on Line 1 (Yonge–University) between St George and St Andrew stations due to planned station work.
Important notes:
- No shuttle buses will operate during this closure
- TTC staff will be on-site to assist customers
- Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring accessible transportation
Closed stations:
- Museum
- Queen’s Park
- St Patrick
- Osgoode
All other subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase or load PRESTO cards and tickets and to connect to surface routes.
Alternative Routes to Connect to Line 1*
- Line 2 (Bloor–Danforth):
Take Line 2 to Bloor–Yonge Station to connect to Line 1 and travel south to St Andrew Station - From Queen’s Park Station:
Take the 506 Carlton streetcar eastbound to College Station - 94 Wellesley Bus:
Connects to Wellesley Station
(Operates between Ossington and Castle Frank stations) - From St Patrick Station:
Take the 505 Dundas streetcar eastbound to TMU Station - From Osgoode Station:
Take the 501 Queen streetcar eastbound to Yonge Street and Adelaide Street West, then:- Option 1: Walk ~2 minutes south to King Station
- Option 2: Walk ~5 minutes north to Queen Station
*With the exception of College Station, all stations listed above are accessible.
Regular Line 1 subway service will resume on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Game night at Scotiabank Arena? Here’s what to know before you ride Lakeshore West:
Planned Lakeshore West service adjustments are in place on January 24-25 to support future, more frequent service and to replace the Etobicoke Creek Bridge. Here’s how your trip may be affected:
- Train service will run between Niagara Falls and Oakville GO.
- GO buses replace train service between Oakville and Clarkson GO, then continue to Bramalea GO to connect with Kitchener line trains to Union Station.
- There is no GO Transit service at Port Credit, Long Branch, or west of Mimico GO.
- There will be late-night service adjustments on Friday, January 16.
Check schedules before you travel and plan ahead for a smooth trip.
